Minutes of the Board Meeting

1960 PC Users Group

Held at Denny’s Diner 7730 Louetta

 

(These minutes should be considered a draft until approved by the Board of Directors at the next meeting.)

 

 

The August meeting of the Board of Directors of the 1960 PC Users group was called to order by President Bill Wright at 6:55 p.m. with the following board members and guests also present:  Bill Franklin, Bob Argo, Marj Krisman, Gary Toll, Jean Olson, James Hug, Jodena Boring, Haskell Boring, Gene Jackson, Jean Franklin, Bea Ann Kelly, and Jim Kelly.

 

Copies of the minutes of the July 23 Board meeting were distributed to the members and were approved by the board members with no corrections.

 

TREASURER

 

The treasurer distributed copies of the treasurer’s report.  The treasurer reported that there is a need for five more individuals to attend the digital camera workshop to avoid an expense to the PC Users Group.  Gary Toll moved to accept the report.  The motion was seconded by Haskell Boring and accepted by the board members.

 

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

 

Bill Franklin reported that the Software and Internet SIGs would switch dates as Don Marvin would not be available on September 11th.  The usual Christmas party will be held in December.  Also there will be no SIGs in December.  Members are asked to bring food for refreshments for the December meeting, also items for door prizes.  Members are urged to welcome visitors.  Jodena Boring reported on the sale of the CDs and presented a proposal to offer them on Ebay.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

The president appointed a nominating committee to secure nominees for positions on the Board of Directors, such slate to be presented at the October General Meeting.  The nominating committee members are Bill Franklin, Jodena Boring, Gary Toll, Jim Kelly and Bill Wright.  It was suggested that an inquiry be made at the general meeting as to whether the notices are being included in the neighborhood news letters.  There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
