Minutes of the Board Meeting
1960 PC Users Group
Held at Denny’s Diner 7730 Louetta
The January meeting of the Board of Directors of the 1960 PC Users Group was called to order by President Bill Wright at 6:38 p.m. at Denny’s Diner on Monday, January 22, 2007. In attendance were Bill Franklin, Jean Olson, Jim Hug, Sonny Cantu , Bob Argo, Gary Toll, and Gene Jackson. Copies of the minutes of the November Board meeting were distributed and a motion was made by Gary Toll to approve. The motion was seconded by Bob Argo, voted on and the minutes were approved.
TREASURER
The treasurer distributed copies of the financial report, also the proposed budget for 2007. After discussion of both reports, approval was postponed until the next board meeting in order for needed revisions to be made.
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
A report of the attendance at Special Interest Groups was presented by Jean Olson, membership chairman. It should be noted that the January SIG was cancelled due to bad weather.
OLD BUSINESS
There was no old business.
NEW BUSINESS
Programs for general meetings were discussed. Bill Franklin will present a program on lighting with emphasis on portrait lighting for the February general meeting. Sonny Cantu will present a program on sports photography at the March general meeting. Bill Franklin presented for discussion the possibility of rotating or combining some of the special interest group meetings. It was agreed that this was a matter for further study. There being no further business, Bill Franklin moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Gary Toll and the meeting adjourned.
