MINUTES of the BOARD MEETING
Held at Denny’s Diner at 7720 Louetta

The meeting of the Board of Directors of the 1960 PC Users Group was called to order by Bill Wright, the president at 6:35 p.m. at Denny’s Restaurant on Louetta Road.  Present were: Bill Wright, Bill Franklin, Bob Argo, Jim Hug, Gary Toland, Kevin O’Hearne, Jean Franklin, and Gene Jackson.

The Minutes of the October 24, 2004 were read, amended, and approved as amended.

Bill Franklin reported on the organist who has been asked to perform at the December general meeting.

President Bill Wright introduced a discussion of Gmail with an explanation of the advantages of the account due to the large size of individual accounts.  He also said that accounts are available on EBay but are very expensive.  He  discussed spam filters.

The thirty minute sessions conducted by Bob Argo  prior to the monthly general meetings were discussed and applauded.

Bob Argo, Treasurer submitted a treasurers report, copy attached.  He will present an annual budget at the next meeting.  He also reported that we have one new member, making a total of seven new members for the year.

Bill Franklin reported that he did not have any SIG statistics for the past month.

There was no report from the membership chairman.

There was discussion concerning the appointment of Marj  Krisman  to be responsible for publications, including the web page.  She will be approached concerning the matter.

The general meeting will be December 2, and the December board meeting will be December 13.  Board members are asked to bring an item not costing more than $20 for door prizes at the general meeting.

Bill Franklin moved that the meeting adjourn, motion seconded by Jim Hug, meeting adjourned.
