Shooting outdoor Christmas Lights

1.       Use tripod (have you heard this before)

2.       Shoot at f 11 or higher if you need depth of field.

3.       Shutter speed at 1 sec or more.  Experiment.

4.       ISO 100 – go to 200 or even 400 if long shutter speed produces too

          much noise.

You will have to reach a happy medium with the noise between

          ISO and shutter speed.

5.       Shoot in manual or aperture priority.

6.       Shooting at dusk will give detail in the building or house.

7.       If you have mirror lock up, use it.  Also use cable release or timer.

8.       Post processing can produce  different effects.
